Uthman ibn Affan (RA) was the third Caliph of the Muslims and one of the earliest to accept Islam. Known as Dhun-Nurayn — "the possessor of the two lights" — for marrying two daughters of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, he was renowned for his modesty and his generosity, giving his wealth freely for the sake of Allah. Under his leadership the Qur'an was compiled into a single standard copy, preserved for the Ummah to this day.
The back carries his name in bold square Kufic — عثمان — above UTHMAN in heavy block capitals, with DHUN-NURAYN · THE GENEROUS beneath. A smaller Kufic mark sits on the front chest. Printed in distressed cream on navy.
